Boulder Small Business Month November 2025 The City of Boulder is committed to supporting small businesses, including micro businesses, and appreciates the many contributions they make to our local economy and community. According to the United States Small Business Administration, the nation’s small businesses provide nearly half of all private sector jobs and create more than 60% of new jobs. Small businesses are particularly important in Boulder where 90% of businesses have fewer than 20 employees. Boulder recognizes the importance of small businesses in our community that provide essential goods and services, create jobs, and generate local sales taxes which help fund first responders, human services, arts and culture, parks and recreation facilities, open space, and much more. One of the City Council’s priorities is enhancing the city’s support for small businesses through resources provided by the Boulder Small Business Development Center and other city staff, and collaborative partnerships with the Boulder Chamber, Downtown Boulder Partnership, Innosphere Ventures, Latino Chamber of Commerce, and other organizations. In November, a month of giving thanks and celebrating small businesses on Small Business Saturday, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, we join communities and organizations across the nation to celebrate and support small businesses. We, the City Council of the City of Boulder, Colorado, declare November 2025, as

Boulder Small Business Month And urge community members to shop and dine locally in November and throughout the year.
