Congregation Har HaShem 60th Anniversary Declaration November 14-16, 2025 The City of Boulder is pleased to recognize the 60th Anniversary of Congregation Har HaShem and the role it has played in the enrichment of Boulder Jewish life as well as in service to the community as a whole. In 1965, a small group Jewish families with great vision, passion and determination took it upon themselves to build the first brick and mortar Jewish house of worship in Boulder, and since that time, the Congregation has flourished into a vibrant and inclusive home for over 500 families. It has demonstrated a deep commitment to providing meaningful religious opportunities for worship and learning for all ages. Throughout the years, Congregation Har HaShem has faithfully adhered to the tenets and lessons of the Torah to strive for social justice and to “repair the world.” It has provided sanctuary for Russian Jews, Sudanese men and women, Afghani families and the unhoused amongst us as well as being involved in and collaborating with many other Boulder non-profit organizations. Therefore, on behalf of the City of Boulder, we honor and celebrate Congregation Har HaShem upon reaching its 60th Anniversary milestone and for the valued and important place it holds in our community.
