RULE DEFINING THE WATERSHED PROTECTION AREA BRC Section that is the subject of this Rule: Section 11-1-12, B.R.C. 1981 1. This Rule provides the definitive geographical area of extraterritorial applicability for the City of Boulder's Watershed Protection Ordinance, as authorized by Colorado law. a. The City of Boulder is authorized under Colorado Revised Statutes (C.R.S.) § 31-15-707(1)(b) to enact ordinances extending its jurisdiction to protect its municipal water supply. b. Section 11-1-12, B.R.C. 1981 asserts the City's jurisdiction over the source water watershed, prohibiting the deposit of pollutants or contaminants for a distance of five miles above the points from which the City’s water supply is diverted. c. The boundary of this protected area is defined by the attached document, Attachment A – Watershed Protection Area Map, which is incorporated into and made a part of this Rule. 2. This Rule covers all lands shown on the accompanying marked map. Specification on the map of one or more features on the map shall not limit the Rule to those features alone. 3. To the extent only of any conflict, this Rule repeals any conflicting Rules or parts of Rules.
