Public Hearings – Joint Meeting with Planning Board A.
City Council and Planning Board public hearing and consideration by each body of a motion to approve the major update to the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan Planning Board Members Kaplan, Hanson-Thiem, Lord, McIntyre, Nordback, Robers and Robles were present and joined the meeting at 6:13 p.m. Brad Mueller, Planning and Development Services Director, Kristopher Johnson, Comprehensive Planning Manager, Kathleen King, Principal Comprehensive Planning Planner, and Sara Horn, Senior City Planner, provided a presentation and answered questions from Council. The public hearing opened at 7:35 p.m. and the following spoke: 1.

The public hearing closed at 8:10 p.m. Planning Board Chair Kaplan requested a motion for Planning Board to continue this agenda item to June 16, 2026, for Planning Board deliberation and action on the recommended major update to the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan. No additional public comments will be taken on June 16, 2026 regarding this item. Planning Board Vice Chair Hanson Thiem made the motion and Planning Board member Ml Robles seconded the motion. Motion carried with a vote of 7:0 Chair Kaplan encouraged the public to submit any further comments to the Planning Board via email. Planning Board Meeting was adjourned at 8:16 pm. Mayor Brockett requested to have a motion for City Council to continue this agenda item to June 25, 2026, for Council deliberation and action on the recommended major update to the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan. No additional public comments will be taken on June 25, 2026 regarding this item.
Mayor Brockett also encouraged the public to submit any further comments to Council via email. Council member Marquis made the motion and Council member Speer seconded the motion. The motion carried with a vote of 9:0. 7.
