Poudre: allows schools to govern school advertising and designates specific rules for district advertising.
●
St Vrain: does not permit advertising from any agency within or outside the district that directly or indirectly competes for School District students or programs, either internally or externally, including public, private and/or charter schools operating within or outside district boundaries. 3
Other School Districts: Cherry Creek Board Policy KHB, Advertising/Revenue Enhancement Revenue enhancement through a variety of marketing activities, including but not limited to advertising, corporate sponsorship, signage, etc. is a Board approved venture. These opportunities are subject to certain restrictions as approved by the Board of Education in keeping with the contemporary standards of good taste. Such advertising will seek to model and promote positive values for the students of Cherry Creek School District No. 5 through proactive educational messages and not just traditional advertising of a product. Preferred advertising includes messages that encourage student achievement and the establishment of high standards of personal conduct.
Thompson School District has a similar policy.

Other School District Policies: Thompson School District The Board of Education recognizes that district wide marketing activities, including advertising and corporate sponsorship arrangements, can provide a potential source of additional revenue for the district which could enhance student achievement; assist in the maintenance and/or expansion of school athletic, music and activity programs; and otherwise assist the district in continuing to provide high quality services. The Board will consider approving such commercial activities, including the granting of exclusive marketing rights, if they will result in identifiable, positive benefits to the District, its schools and their respective students, and are consistent with the District’s missions, policies and goals.
