Letter of Intent to serve as Vice President of the BVSD School Board Alex Medler November 14, 2025

I would like to serve as the Vice President of the BVSD School Board. I believe I have the experience and skills to be an effective Vice President, and would be honored to serve in this role. In the event the President is unable to perform their functions or is absent during meetings, I have a great deal of experience chairing boards and administering meetings under Roberts Rules and under other alternative methods designed to support communication. I am committed to ensuring all board members have ample opportunities to raise issues, ask questions, and engage in substantive discussions about the issues before us. And I am committed to helping the Board conduct it work in ways that advance the districts goals and reflects its values. I would welcome the opportunity to help this board continue its strong work together and in partnership with the district, the Superintendent, and his team. I am interested in ensuring all board members feel adequately engaged, and free to learn about and discuss the issues of interest while ensuring the board fulfills all its responsibilities.
