BOULDER VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT RE-2 RESOLUTION NO. 26-14 Authorizing Contracts During Summer Months WHEREAS, the Board of Education has no scheduled public board meetings during the month of July 2026; and WHEREAS, there may be contracts that require approval in July 2026 in order to maintain construction project schedules and to address current global economic conditions and shipping delays. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Education of the Boulder Valley School District RE-2, as follows: 1. The Superintendent or designee is authorized to accept bids and authorize contracts, including construction and maintenance projects, during the summer period when the Board does not meet, subject to the conditions listed here. 2. All contracts shall be within the amounts budgeted and payable through available District funds. 3. All such construction, maintenance, and bond project contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. 4. All such other contracts shall be awarded consistent with Board Policy and the School District’s best interests. 5. All contracts approved pursuant to this Resolution will be provided as information items on the Board agenda at the Board’s first regular meeting in August 2026. 6. In the event any significant questions arise regarding contract(s) to be approved between the last Board meeting in June and the next Board meeting, the Board will be asked to convene a special meeting to address the necessary questions and/or concerns. ADOPTED, this 12th day of May 2026, by the Board of Education of the Boulder Valley School District RE-2.
