EMPLOYEE HOURS AND WORKLOAD: Employees shall be on duty in their respective buildings 37½ 37.5 hours per week as arranged by the principal in cooperation with the faculty. The 371½ hours per week shall be inclusive of (a) duty-free planning time, (b) neeessary travel time attributed direetly to teaching sehedule and (e) at least a 30

guaranteed daily, duty-free, lunch period. This on-site time includes employee-directed planning time, necessary travel time directly related to the teaching schedule, and a guaranteed daily duty-free lunch period of at least 30 minutes. The work weck will be 40 hours per week, ineluding 2.5 hours of individual teacher direeted time.-The work week will be 40 hours total in recognition of the work done by educators outside of the 37.5 hours of building time. minute

ELEMENTARY LEVEL: For elementary level positions, DDI and MTSS times are to be

clearly defined by the building administration and take place outside the 4.5-hour-per-week employee-directed planning time. Schools may use discretionary funds for floating sub coverage during IEP meetings. C-5.6 [new]

The use of time allocations within the school day via shared decision-making will be

communicated by the school administration at the beginning of the school year. The following time allocations will be communicated to all licensed B employees, via a

District-provided template: Non-student contact days, Wednesday morning late start, staff meetings, and conference exchange days.

C-15 USE OF PHYSICAL FOREE INTERVENTION: An employee may use reasonable and appropriate physical force upon a minor when and to the extent itis

necessary and appropriate to maintain diseipline or promote the welfare of the minor.-An employee may

apply reasonable physical intervention techniques to prevent students from harming themselves or others. C-15.1 When it is necessary for the employee to be absent from normal duties to participate in parent conferences or meetings with other appropriate agencies, or to consult with an attorney regarding

defense of assault charges when it cannot be done outside the teaching day, as a result of or arising

out of the application of physical force as set forth in C-15, and provided that such absence is

necessitated as a result of performing his/her/their duties, and not caused by his/her/their own

negligence, the employee shall not suffer a loss of pay for the period of such absence, on account of such absence.

C-15.2 The Board may reimburse an employee for the cost in excess of insurance benefits received for medical, surgical, or hospital services incurred as a direct result of injury sustained in the course of his/her/their employment if recommended by the Superintendent, but may not reimburse for consequential damages or aggravation of pre-existing injuries and shall not exceed the amount of his/her/their current salary. C 15.3 Employees shall make every attempt to report as soon as possible, but no later than the

fellowing morning, cases concerning C 15 to their principal, or in his/her/their absence, some other Distriet administrator.

C-15.3 Employees will report any such incidents as soon as practically possible and in accordance

with relevant Board policies and statutes. C-15.4 The parties acknowledge that this subsection of the Agreement is informed by Board Policy

JK et seq. Should those policies be substantially revised, the parties agree to review the corresponding provisions of this Agreement with the intent of maintaining alignment between the documents.
