This is a meeting Business Meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Boulder County. We have all three commissioners present this morning. First item on our agenda is our consent agenda for A through four email of emotion. Move approval. Second. All in favor. Aye. Moving on to discussion 5A is an appointment to the Eldorado Local Improvement District Advisory Committee. We have Robin Valdez here with us this morning. Good morning, Madam Chair. Commissioners Robin Valdez with the Commissioner's office. And before you are the appointments of the Eldorado Springs, Niwot LID Advisory There are currently four vacancies on this committee. We did have one reappointment request from Heidi Gertzlin as a member at large. And we also received new application from Chain Owens for a member of large position. For your consideration. Okay, thank you. Any questions or discussion on these appointments. Just on all of the appointments in general, just thanks to the candidates who have come out. Thank you for working through the process and the liaisons and all the information that goes into getting to the Business Meeting today. Thank you. I was not in, uh, Commissioners' Discussion Items today in regards to different boards. And we've got so many

0:01:58boards and commissions. Thanks Robin for all the work to bring all the volunteers forward and go through a process to be able to meet with commissioners. And some of those in other ways meet with staff leaves on, et cetera. I was not part of this conversation. So it was just interested in if there was any discussion that might, the commissioners may want to share in regards to the recommendation that's being brought forward. No, nothing for me. The reappointment, the information we had was that this person was a diligent member, um, participated well and no concerns about reappointment. Um, is there anything additional you'd like to share about the new applicants? Sure. Um, and as noted on. The, uh, page and before you, we had four vacancies and, uh, just two applications. Um, both members qualify for, uh, member at large position, uh, commissioner Levy and Commissioner Stolzman had an opportunity to, uh, speak with Borlie Aison. And it was a fairly short discussion. If I recall correctly, Jinx Robin, the other comment we had like the application material. So there was like some information similar to a CV on the applicant and looked very qualified and engaged in the community. Thank you. So, um, I think we're ready for a motion on 5A. So that passes, uh, our next appointment is to the Historic Preservation Advisory Board. Thank you. Um, this particular board has two vacancies. Obviously, uh, we have two current members who applied for reappointment. Those are David Haas and Ratchet for members at a large of this advisory board. David Haz was appointed in 2022 and he's seeking second full term. And Rachel is completing her first term. She was appointed in 2023 and is the second, uh, second term. Um, and we have two current members who are in business retail representatives on this board that ours. He can reappointment. Keith Waters, who was first appointed to in 2021. And, uh, Mary Coons, who was appointed back in 2018, uh, the other application we received was for the, um. To represent the Niwad Business Association, uh, the applicant name is Deborah Fowler. And she had been a pass president of that organization and had sat on this board a while back. For your consideration. Okay. Thank you. Any questions or discussion. I will just say in the discussion reviewing these, it was noted that one of the reappointment requests is great because they do some of the detail around the bookkeeping for that board that's a little different than some of the other boards.

It's helpful when we're looking at one, what, what do boards need so we don't have 10 accountants sitting on the same board as an example, but also to understand kind of the different diversity of board members. And you've done a great job. Robin and providing information over the years just to make ours, are we meeting all the geographic areas of Boulder County making sure that we get different representatives and all the other different, um, expertise as I get brought into the room.
