Ramadan February 17 – March 19, 2026 Ramadan is the ninth lunar month of the Islamic calendar and marks a month-long spiritual journey celebrated by Muslims worldwide. Observers engage in daily prayer and fasting from before sunrise to sunset to help bring awareness to the experience of vulnerable community members facing hardship. Ramadan lasts 29 to 30 days based on the timing of the of the astronomical new moon. Families and communities come together in celebration and worship, demonstrating the rich and diverse traditions of Muslim societies and cultures. This shared commitment to faith and acts of kindness seeks to bridge the differences between people and bring hope to all.
